CCSRC is the proud home of the Cedar Creek Stingrays!
We are the Cedar Creek Stingrays, a neighborhood summer swim team established in 1974 in the Gwinnett County Swim League (GCSL), based in the Cedar Creek subdivision in Lilburn, Georgia. Under the tutelage of Coach David Reason since 1995, we are a proud member of the highly competitive South Central Division. Our regular fast-paced season runs May to July and consists of traditional morning and optional evening and Saturday morning practices. We compete in approximately six dual meets on Thursdays beginning at 6 pm. We host three to four home meets in a 25-yard pool with four competition lanes and our away meets are typically within ten miles of our clubhouse located at 853 Angevine Court.
Swimmers vary in skill and range in age from four years-old to high school seniors. We do not host a preseason tryout. The age requirement needed to join our swim team is that a swimmer must be four years-old by June 1st. Homeowners residing in Cedar Creek and Cedar Creek Crossing subdivisions must be pool members to join swim team. Those residing outside these neighborhoods may join if space allows. Our coaches are all former Stingrays that have come through our program and they patiently teach correct technique in the four strokes. They build skills such as stroke development, dives, turns, improved endurance and heavily emphasize the value of the team, appropriate for each swimmer's age and ability.
